an Introduction

Hi, my name is Joshua Quintanilla, but you may call me Josh. I am your personal academic tutor, college advisor, and career mentor. On top of that, I have over 10 years of working with students within an academic setting and can tutor confidently in multiple subjects.

I graduate from UC Davis where I completed my undergraduate degree in Biological Science in general biology while also simultaneously completing an a secondary degree in History—concentration in European history.

I pursue an informal post baccalaureate program at UC Berkeley between 2020-2022 which ultimately allowed me to enrolled into a graduate program at San Francisco State University where I earned a master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences with an emphasis in Stem Cell Biology.

As part of the research requirement for the master, I completed a fellowship at Stanford School of Medicine in the department of Cardiology where my research focused on the cellular mechanism involved in coronary artery disease.

I am also a published writer—publishing my first book in 2022 “Scholar–A Kid’s Journey from the Playground to the Labcoat.”

Lastly, my career path has taught me the importance and advantages that come with pursuing higher education and most importantly made me realize the responsibility and privilege that there exist in giving back to the community and mentoring the next generation of leaders.
